Are You Aged 16–24? Share Your Views on Gambling in Sport and Online

Post by:

Are you aged 16–24 and want to have a say on gambling normalisation?

Researchers from Deakin University and Ghent University are conducting a study with young people to explore how gambling is talked about, advertised, and experienced online and through sport.

They are interested in hearing young people’s views about gambling and betting content on social media and online platforms, gambling advertising and sponsorship in sport, and what should be done to better protect young people online.

They are looking to conduct online focus groups with 3-4 young people lasting approximately 75 minutes. Participants will receive a $50 voucher for their time. Participation in this study is voluntary. You may choose not to participate or withdraw at any time without any negative consequences.

Please note: if you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must contact us on your behalf. If you are interested in receiving more information about the study, please contact:
