Forums:
Attracting an average of 35 attendees, the forums are an opportunity for youth services to meet and share information about what their services do, any changes to their service and current issues they have in the work they do.
This provides many services with idea about where they can refer clients to, what services have vacancies and how changes to services may impact on each other. It is also an opportunity for members to hear about what the Youth Coalition is doing for them and for the Youth Coalition to consult with the sector.
Seminars
The seminars are an opportunity to hear a more in depth account of a particular issue or topic. It can also be an opportunity for a service to showcase the work that they are doing. Some of the seminars in 2008 have included:
- Youth Work and Domestic Violence (February 2008)
- Engaging with Aboriginal Young People (May 2008)
- Ethics and Youth Work, using AOD case studies (June 2008)
- Professional Ethics and Youth Work (July 2008)
